Susan’s partner and husband of 28 years Norbert Schlachter passed away from glioblastoma multiforme (terminal brain cancer) in 2013, after a harrowing 2 years’ experience, during which time she was his sole caregiver.
He was 46 years old and left behind two teenage children, Gilles & Kyra; now young adults.
Susan is an avid reader, who also enjoys walking with her dogs, decorating, cooking and gardening during her spare time.
